Summary

Toner is a special product because it places extremely high demands on the particle size distribution, which must be particularly narrow and ever finer. Besides this, the resin blends are being formulated with ever lower melting points to increase the speed of the laser printer. Especially important is the good accessibility for cleaning to minimize the downtime during a color change.

Features

Thanks to its high precision of cut, the TFG classifying wheel with its support wheel makes an exact top-size limitation and a reduction of the fines portion possible.

A hydraulic mechanism permits the classifier head to be raised and then swung off to the side through 180°, thus affording good access for cleaning and maintenance procedures.

HOSOKAWA / MICRON GLACIS GC The Glacis is a high performance cooling type fine grinding mechanical mill that can grind heat-sensitive materials comparable to product sizes produced by jet mills. The Glacis has energy consumption levels lower than jet mills. In conventional systems, the jet mill was mainly used to grind toner while preventing the materials from melting due to the heat generated during grinding.
