The Cliffis is developed for rejecting coarse particles of toner by means of inertia force. It presents much higher classifying efficiency than conventional Coanda classifier or centrifugal force classifier.

For the purpose of sharp coarse cut, it is constructed that the inertia force is most effectively utilized. The feed is injected and dispersed by the compressed air into the classifying chamber. The air stream is bended by the aspiration air. The particle in the stream behaves differently by its inertia force depending on their sizes. A large particle takes a linear flight due to its big inertia force. A small particle is bended along the air stream because of the drag force of the air. Providing a sword in the chamber, aspiration air stream is divided into two routes. Fines go out through the route located below the cliff. A coarse particle travels outside route and are discharged from the chamber.
For the top cleaning of toner, it gives very high classifying efficiency.
It is applicable for cut off small portion of coarse particles.
By the different mechanism from the Coanda classifiers, the air streams are forced to be bended in the classifying chamber. This realizes the best use of the inertia force of the particle. Thus, it doesn't require a Coanda wall and simplify the internal structure.
Quick and easy disassembling/cleaning procedure due to no moving parts and smooth interior design.
